I am Maddie Crotts, your USA National Miss North Carolina Teen 2020. I am 18 years old and a recent High School graduate. In my free time I enjoy cheerleading, dancing, and preparing for UNM Nationals. I have a true passion for community service and giving back. I am so dedicated in doing this that I think it’s important that others find their passions in serving as well! I have created a social media movement #momentswithmaddie to encourage teens and other pageant girls to serve in their communities. Through this movement I am able to be an example of how fun and easy it really is to serve! My personal platform is “Teach Kindness.” I created Teach Kindness in an effort to make social a kind atmosphere. I spread my message through three different platforms; Instagram: @teach_kindness_ where you can find daily inspirational quotes on kindness, Youtube: Maddie Crotts- where I post episodes on ways I have shown kindness in my community and teaching these service ideas for others to implement in their community, and I have a website to break down everything I am doing and to showcase Teach Kindness advocates that are helping me in my mission! I am an active advocate for the Crown CARES and I love being in classrooms whenever possible to share their message.
