Hey sweet friends and fellow kindness advocates!! I’m Ava Mae Masters, a rising straight A 6th grade student from beautiful Arkansas. (Seriously… if you like outdoors, lakes, biking… google Northwest Arkansas and come visit me!). I love staying active with dance, friends, volunteering and pageants (I’m currently the reigning USA National Miss Natural State preteen).
I love working with kids with special needs and actually hope to do it as a career at some point. My love for peers and kids with different abilities was actually the inspiration for #inclusionstartswithi over 4 years ago. I am able to use my platform to speak to students, teachers and the community on the importance of kindness and inclusion. Not only inclusion for people with special needs but inclusion for ALL regardless of race, gender, religion or ability. All humans desire inclusion and acceptance; That’s the mission of #inclusionstartswithi. If you’d like to be an advocate or collab, we are always looking for more support! Look us up on Insta at @inclusionstartswithi.
I came across I Like Me Org a little over a year ago and was immediately drawn to the kindness focus. But I realized that as much as I talked about being kind to others, I often needed to remind myself to be kind to myself. I love the daily inspiration and the community of other like minded people who encourage and lift others up and I regularly share with friends and family who I think will benefit from a dose of self love! Huge “I Like Me” fan for life right here!!
XOXO- Ava Mae
