Hi! My name is Kamryn Noelle Jaugstetter. I am the current Miss New York Collegiate America 2020 and will be competing for my dream title of Miss Collegiate America this September. I live in New York City and dance at Joffrey Ballet School as one of their company ballet trainees. On top of dancing forty plus hours a week in the Big Apple, I have become part of the organization NYC Cares. Being part of NYC Cares has allowed me to spend all of my extra time when I’m not at dance getting involved in volunteer work in the city.

I have been able to spread my personal campaign “beYOUtiful” (raising awareness for eating disorders and body positivity) through this organization along with spreading “BRAVE” (building respect and values for everyone) to students all over the city. My personal experience with bullying has really impacted my commitment to the “BRAVE” platform. Teaching others how to stand up for themselves and know their value is something that is so important to me. I really love the example I can set in pageants and as a dancer. I have struggled with being bullied about the way I looked. I stayed quiet about the bullying for multiple years. Through prayer and becoming involved in my community and helping others, I found my self worth and realized I was good enough just the way I am no matter what others say. That is the basis of my “beYOUtiful” campaign and what I want to teach others. I had a sweet talented friend help me develop my campaign logo and I have been selling t-shirts to support and donate all the proceeds towards The National Eating Disorder Association. Why do you love following #iLikeMe and would you send it to a friend that was in need of daily inspiration?

I love following the #iLikeMe Instagram and website for inspiration that has helped keep me motivated to achieve my dreams. I enjoy reading the articles and blog and find the stories very encouraging. Rylee is a role model for so many girls and I can always count on her for uplifting messages and posts. I have already sent it to many of my friends that need daily inspiration!
