Hi everyone! My name is Ashleigh Pates; I am 28 years old and attending Western Carolina University to pursue my bachelor’s in business. I am a full-time dental hygienist who has a side hustle working to build my personal training business called Beautiful By Design. I love helping people become the best version of themselves!
A fun fact about me is that I am a published author of the book called Brynn the Brave. I have been in the dental field since 2014 where my career started in pediatric dentistry. I fell in love with educating kids about how important it is to take care of their oral health as it relates to their overall health. Going hand in hand with building amazing relationships with these kids and their families throughout the years, I felt the need to speak on another topic that is really close to my heart. Throughout Elementary School, Middle School, and High School I was bullied. So speaking about being B.R.A.V.E. (Building Respect And Values for Everyone) and incorporating dental hygiene had to be done. I was able to spread a positive message in a fun, creative way for kids to be able to read and understand the message about being kind to ourselves before we can love, respect, and value others. I love following #iLikeMe because it promotes self-love and positivity! Who doesn’t love a little bit of motivation?
